Life Testimony
Submitted by: Chereth Cucharo
Greetings! Brothers and Sisters in Christ: I’m writing this letter to share the greatest challenging year that my whole family is facing right now. First and for most, let me introduce myself, my name is Chereth living in the southern part of the Philippines. Last December 2009, my older sister Donna noticed a lump in her breast but she ignored it and not even thinking bad about it until it grew and felt some pain especially during her period. On March 2010, she shared it to us and we decided to see a doctor for biopsy exam. After a week, we got the result and found out that it’s malignant and the doctor even grades it to stage 2 of cancer. For like a month, our whole family burst into tears and doesn’t understand why it happens to Donna. She is still 35 years old, single and even cautious to her food so we never really expected this worse scenario. She spent almost of her time on her ministries (teaching kids on Sundays and doing camping youth ministry every summer) and I grew up looking up to her for being a good example to her siblings and to other people. At first we struggle with our prayers asking God earnestly to display His marvelous ways through her life. We call it as a great awakening of our faith not only to our whole family but to our friends as well. We stand on what we believe that God is still the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow and believing that He is still in a healing business that our faith would also inspire Him to heal. I believe that Jesus’ blood is enough already to cleanse us not only from our sins but also to heal and absorb all diseases if we will just claim all the benefits that He has promised to His children. During those times, God revealed these verses more than once. Isaiah 43:1-3 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.” Isn’t that a great promise? God is so real that He speaks so alive in our lives especially if we are in the battle field. We actually waited for like a month and have her second biopsy taken last April 2010, eventually the result is still the same. To be honest, I feel so defeated as I’m begging God so much to even exchange my life to hers but again we can’t question His sovereignty. His thoughts are beyond our thoughts and all we have to do is to fully trust Him. Again we’ve waited for another month to wait for God’s will for her life until we received the answer that we will undergo the standard treatment procedure. We are just thankful to God as He has prepared our hearts and find peace in Him in facing the reality. Sometimes in life, there are things that we really want to happen according to our will and wants however at the end, it’s always God’s that prevails. I’ve learned as well that even to the life of Daniel, God didn’t prevent him to be thrown to Lion’s den. To picture out, surely Daniel feel so scared and afraid but we all knew what really happened that Daniel never died in that very moment for the Lord our God sent angels to shut all lion’s mouth. Really amazing! Now, even the lump of her breast never been dissolved but God strengthens our spiritual aspect to draw near to him more and more. I do believe that God has greater plans for her life and promised that whatever procedures she will go through, God will never leave her and cause that to death. Three weeks ago, on June 8, 2010, she had her mastectomy surgery (removal of her whole left breast) and very thankful that the operation turns out well. She’s actually recovering no and two days ago, we went to her oncologist to have her 3rd biopsy result from the mass taken during surgery. Since the tumor is 8cm its size, she is required to undergo chemo therapy and radiation therapy, well good thing for the cancer cells were not on her lymph nodes (auxiliary) yet. The oncologist explained to us that she needs to take the strongest medicine for she’s still young which means that her cancer risk is very high. The cost of her chemo therapy per session is Php55,000 pesos for 6 cycles where we need the total amount of Php 330,000 or around $7350 dollars. I know what you’re thinking now but before you close this letter please listen to your heart if my intention is really pure. You might think that I’m one of the internet scams or frauds from nowhere but please forgive me, I don’t have any other idea where to get that amount for my sister and I need financial help to raise it. This is the only way I could think of. I know that’s it’s really a big amount but if you can simply donate a small amount, it would really be a big help. God will surely bless you tremendously in return to be part of this journey. I can’t think of anything in return but I can serve you in any possible way like a data entry work perhaps. Please return me an email at chereth@gmail.com if you are interested to share even for just a little amount. Thank you for your time! Tons of Grace, Chereth Cucharo Philippines 07-15-2010

Mother Diagosed with Cancer
Submitted by: KRISTY DEMUTH
My Mother was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer and given two weeks to live on 02/08/09 while she was in the hospital. Mama's Pulmonary doctors gave us no hope and advised that treatment would be worthless. The Oncologist felt differently but agreed that it looked grim from a medical stand point. He advised us that we should put it in Gods hands and realize that if treatment was given that it would be a tremendous up hill fight. Little did he know at that time we are a Christain Family and had already put it into Gods hands. My Mother and Father raised my siblings and I in Church and are the most amazing Christains that I know. Mom spent 23 days in the ICU and in that time received her 1st Chemo. Treatment. She then spent 22 days in a Nursing/Rehad facility to regain her mobility. She could barley walk when she was forced to leave. Moms insurance would pay for rehab or treatment but not both. Though very weak Mom under went 4 Chemo Treatments, 30 Chest Radiations and 15 Preventative Brain Radiations. Mom has had two CT Scans now and both have shown no evidence of cancer. All I can say is Praise the Lord and give him all the glory. The Oncologist by medical terms had only given her a 15% chance to have gotten to this point. Treatments have been very tough on her. She is very weak and very hard on herself. With our church not having a handi-cap ramp she is even harder on herself for not being able to attend Church as she has so faithfully for the past 45 years. I do not attend your Church but know the power of Prayer. I have attended Grace Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA for 30 years. If you would not mind please pray for my Mother Brenda Satterfield and our Family? Thank you !! Kristy DeMuth01-11-2010
Prayer for sickness
Submitted by: Sheldon Ball
Hello, My name is Sheldon Ball. I am a Christian seeking prayer support from fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I have been sick for almost a month and a half with a flu virus. I have never been this sick in my life ever. This illness has really brought me down really bad. I have had every symptom possible and have worked through some of them. I went to the ER approximately a week ago and was told that I have bronchitis. I was told everything else was fine. I find it hard to believe with all of the symptoms I still have. My chest is tight with some pain and very little mucus seems to break loose. I have a difficult time breathing with some episodes being worse than others. I also have swelling of my hands and feet and there is an abnormal redness to the palms of my hands that is not normally there. My face also gets more red than usual. I have also had pressure around my heart but at the ER I was told my heart is alright even though my blood pressure fluctuates up and down a lot. This illness has caused me to not be able to work and my bills are starting to pile up. I believe that this is an evil virus and that I am under some serious demonic oppression through this illness. This illness is really getting me down and starting to make me depressed. Along with not being able to work right now this sickness is making it hard for me to carry on with daily activities like I normally would especially being able to get out and walk and exercise. Please pray for me as you are led by the Holy Spirit. I just need all the prayer support that I can get and please feel free to pass this prayer request on to as many brothers and sisters in Christ as you want to. Thank you for your prayers. It is a very big blessing to me. -Sheldon Ball 12-02-2009

pray for our ministry
Submitted by: ian reid
Dear friends. Please pray for our nine-year-old ministry (started in 2001) -- www.tjlit.org (Testifying Jesus’ Love in Truth). In Toronto, we make free resumes, teach free English weekly, and do free translations/interpretations in 17 languages to any church or organization that asks us to (worldwide.) We also give out 3000 tracts each week, and we get people who are abused, have mental illness and other problems into churches and places where they can receive help, as well as getting kids into free dentists. We love the Lord, and love the ministry he has blessed us with. We are deeply committed to fighting racism and poverty. Please send us your prayer requests (Email: reachus@tjlit.org), and pass our site to friends, missionaries and family, as there are many who are lonely; and, we are thrilled when Christians connect. As the world becomes more hostile towards Christians; it is essential that we connect. At the moment we are trying to set up a pen pal club so people from all over can write to others and develop friendships. Nobody should be lonely. If you read this and are lonely, please contact us and we will do our best to get you into a good church wherever you are in the world. We get over 1000 visits a day in ninety-nine countries (our counter is broken), which means somebody will be praying for you. Please also click on and read the Bible verse of the day, and say a prayer for us. Also, please send us words of encouragement. Is there anyway we can help you? Please contact us – especially if you are lonely. God bless you. To our American friends: Please read article 51 on our site “Things I love about America.” PS. Sorry to the person whose guestbook we have just signed. If we have taken up a lot of space and not commented, again, sorry. The fact that we have left a message is proof, in our opinion, that you are good. God bless you. Ian. 01-11-2010
