| Brother in law passing away Submitted by: Marti Pozzi | My oldest sister's husband is in the hospital and not expected to live past today, they are deciding when to take the ventilator off. He will not live without it and he has lung cancer, dementia, and they can't do anymore for him. Please pray for my sister Patsy and her children and grandchildren and our family as they go through this together. | Mother Diagosed with Cancer Submitted by: KRISTY DEMUTH | My Mother was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer and given two weeks to live on 02/08/09 while she was in the hospital. Mama's Pulmonary doctors gave us no hope and advised that treatment would be worthless. The Oncologist felt differently but agreed that it looked grim from a medical stand point. He advised us that we should put it in Gods hands and realize that if treatment was given that it would be a tremendous up hill fight. Little did he know at that time we are a Christain Family and had already put it into Gods hands. My Mother and Father raised my siblings and I in Church and are the most amazing Christains that I know. Mom spent 23 days in the ICU and in that time received her 1st Chemo. Treatment. She then spent 22 days in a Nursing/Rehad facility to regain her mobility. She could barley walk when she was forced to leave. Moms insurance would pay for rehab or treatment but not both. Though very weak Mom under went 4 Chemo Treatments, 30 Chest Radiations and 15 Preventative Brain Radiations. Mom has had two CT Scans now and both have shown no evidence of cancer. All I can say is Praise the Lord and give him all the glory. The Oncologist by medical terms had only given her a 15% chance to have gotten to this point. Treatments have been very tough on her. She is very weak and very hard on herself. With our church not having a handi-cap ramp she is even harder on herself for not being able to attend Church as she has so faithfully for the past 45 years. I do not attend your Church but know the power of Prayer. I have attended Grace Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA for 30 years. | Marriage crisis Submitted by: John & Gina | Asking for effectual fervent prayer for my marriage & for our family from all Saints far & wide who name the Lord Jesus Christ as the Saviour. My wife says she does not love me, she wants out, would leave immediately if not for the 3 children, is even angry at God for allowing it to be burden on her to go peacefully, even desires it would be guilt free. Does not want to discuss it with the pastor. 13 years of marriage & 3 children, I need the Lord of Grace to bring a mighty miracle of conviction & repentance & love for me within her heart. Please pray for John & Gina K's marriage, our relationship with the Lord & our family. In Toronto, we make free resumes, teach free English weekly, and do free translations/interpretations in 17 languages to any church or organization that asks us to (worldwide.) We also give out 3000 tracts each week, and we get people who are abused, have mental illness and other problems into churches and places where they can receive help, as well as getting kids into free dentists. We love the Lord, and love the ministry he has blessed us with. We are deeply committed to fighting racism and poverty. Please send us your prayer requests (Email: reachus@tjlit.org), and pass our site to friends, missionaries and family, as there are many who are lonely; and, we are thrilled when Christians connect. As the world becomes more hostile towards Christians; it is essential that we connect. At the moment we are trying to set up a pen pal club so people from all over can write to others and develop friendships. Nobody should be lonely. | Refreshing Submitted by: Rick | Please be in prayer for us that we will have a much needed Spiritual Refreshing as we take a trip to the Camp Zion Bible Conf. in Myrtle Mississippi from the 13 though the 16th. We would also like to be able to extend our time through the 20th. So please pray that God will open a door where we can have that much needed time to get away and get into His word, and hear someone else preach for a while. We had a conference opportunity last month, but due to a funeral, we had to cancel, and we lost the money for the Hotel (we went through a price saver business) Thankfully this conf. is free. Please remember our church (Greenwood Covenant Church) in prayer, as there has been no salvations here in years. I have been here three years, and have been able to identify some of those reasons. Yet it will take nothing short of the Soverign hand of Almighty God to make the change.When I get back, I will start a series of srtictly Soul Winning sermons. So pray that God will give me the anointing to preach, open the eyes of the religious lost, bring in those who know their needs, stir up Christians to be soul winners, and reach the few young people with the Gospel, not gimmicks | 03-24-2011 |
| Church Needs Submitted by: Rick | Please consider copying this request and praying for us monthly during the coming year. Please pray for the ministry of Greenwood Church in the following areas: 1. Pastor: That I would be dillegent in Holiness, Prayer, Study, Visitation, and Soulwinning. That the protection of God would be on myself and family. 2. Leadership: That the leadership would be an example in Bible study, Prayer, Giving and Attendance. 3. Congregation: That lost religious people would be awakened and saved, and the saved would grow in their desire for the Word, and become more involved. 4. Youth: That God would get hold of the few that we do have, who are running from God, and only come for the fun events. That God will bring in others that will fall in love with Jesus. 5. Prospects: That God will bring us workers that are grounded in the Word of God. 6. Outreach: That we would go out with the message of the gospel, and God will give us many souls. That God would bring the lost in as well. As of yet, we have had no one saved in three years. That God would bless and increase our Radio Ministry, and enable us to do Internet Ministy on Sermon Audio. 7. Missions: God has given us the opportunity to support a missionary to Russia. Our income is very limited now that we are both retired. Please pray that God will supply this need in our life. (Philippians 4:6,7).
